LingoLink teaches Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) — the written and formal-spoken form used across the Arab world in media, education, and formal contexts. Vocabulary and audio are built around real, practical situations rather than a single country's dialect.
Yes. The Alphabet studio and Alphabet Bridge are designed for learners who have never read Arabic script before, and Course 1 assumes no prior knowledge. There is also an optional placement check if you want a quick read on where to start instead.
If you can't yet read Arabic letters, start with the Alphabet studio — it walks through the script and feeds directly into Course 1's first words. If you can already read Arabic script, you can go straight to your learning path and begin Course 1.
Try the optional placement check — a short set of free questions drawn from Courses 1–3 that suggests a reasonable course to start from. It's a suggestion, not a lock: you can always move to a different course from the course list afterward.
Courses 1–3 are genuinely free, along with the Alphabet studio, Alphabet Bridge, the optional placement check, lesson quizzes and Course Challenges for those courses, and extra vocabulary practice for them. No payment card is needed to use any of this. Course 4 onward is part of Full Access — see Pricing for what that includes.
No. Free courses stay free with no time limit, and nothing is billed automatically. You only start a subscription when you deliberately choose a plan on Pricing and complete checkout.
Each course is a sequence of lessons, and each lesson is broken into short, focused learning sessions you can finish in a few minutes. A course ends with a Course Challenge that checks what you've learned across its lessons.
During a learning session, an info panel is available that breaks a phrase down into its vocabulary and grammar — useful when you want to understand why an example is built the way it is, not just memorize it. It opens on demand and never blocks you from continuing.
Yes. Pronunciation help has three modes you can switch between during a session: help shown automatically, help shown only when you tap for it, or Arabic-only with no hints. Your choice applies as you move through sessions.
The three modes control how much transliteration and pronunciation support you see: automatic help for maximum support, tap-to-reveal for a middle ground, and Arabic-only for practicing without hints once you're comfortable reading the script.
Dialogue Labs are immersive, conversation-style sessions that put vocabulary from recent lessons into a realistic exchange. Use them after the lessons they follow, as review that forces you to apply words rather than just recognize them.
In the Alphabet studio, each letter is tracked as new, learning, or mastered based on your practice with it. Marking your own progress is a personal tracking tool — it doesn't lock or unlock anything elsewhere in the app.
There is no separate games hub at the moment. Practice lives inside the lessons themselves and in extra vocabulary practice, which is free for everyone and draws on the courses available to you — so Full Access widens it to the whole library. Some courses also include optional Student Study Guides or practice resources on that course's Resources page; where one isn't available yet for a specific course, the regular lesson practice and Course Challenge are still there.
No — you can use free courses as a guest. Guest progress is saved in your current browser on this device only; it does not sync anywhere and can be lost if you clear browser data or switch browsers/devices. Creating a free account saves your progress to your account instead, so it follows you across devices. See Sign Up.
First check spam/junk. If it's not there, use Resend verification to send a new one. If it still doesn't arrive after that, contact us below with the email address you signed up with.
Use Forgot password to request a reset link. Requesting a reset does not disable or change your current password — it only takes effect once you open the link and choose a new one. If the email doesn't arrive, check spam first, then contact us below. If the problem is a sign-up that was never verified, see the verification-email answer.
That means an account already exists for that email. Try Sign In with it, or reset your password if you don't remember it. If neither works, contact us below and we'll help you recover access.
Update these from your Profile page. Changing your password there requires your current password to confirm the change.
Change your password immediately from Profile (or use Forgot password if you can't sign in), then contact us below with your account email so we can look into it.
Both are self-service from Profile, under "Your Data": "Export My Data" downloads what the platform holds about your account, and "Delete Account" permanently deletes it after you confirm with your password. See Privacy Policy for what deletion covers.
Go to your learning path — it opens on your next recommended step automatically, whether that's a lesson, a review session, or a Course Challenge.
No. Replaying a lesson just lets you go through it again for practice — it doesn't remove your existing completion. Retaking a Course Challenge records a new, separate attempt rather than erasing your earlier one.
Yes, if you're signed in — your progress is tied to your account, not a device, so signing in anywhere continues where you left off. Guest progress (no account) stays on the single browser/device where you started.
First check that you're signed in with the same account you used before — signed-in progress and guest (device-only) progress are stored separately, so being signed out (or into a different account) can look like missing progress. If you're on the right account and something still looks wrong, contact us below with the course and lesson name so we can look into it — please don't clear your browser data first, since that can permanently remove any progress that was only ever stored as a guest on that device.
Guest progress lives only in that browser, on that device — it is not backed up anywhere else. Clearing browser data, using a private/incognito window, or switching devices will not carry it over, and clearing data can lose it permanently. Create a free account before that happens if you want your progress kept safely.
First check your device volume and that the browser tab isn't muted, and try reloading the page. If a specific clip still won't play, tell us the course and lesson below with "Audio or pronunciation" as the category, and attach a screenshot if it helps.
Yes. The audio player supports adjustable playback speed and can be replayed as many times as you like within a session.
Use the feedback form below with "Audio or pronunciation" or "Arabic text, translation, or a question" as the category, and include the exact course and lesson. A screenshot of the specific screen helps us find it quickly. This is reviewed by a person — it is not resolved automatically.
Quizzes and Course Challenges are graded automatically against the accepted answer(s) for that question. If you believe yours should have been accepted, tell us the exact course, lesson, and question, and what you typed or selected, using "Arabic text, translation, or a question" as the category. A screenshot of the question is especially helpful here.
Full Access is $14.99/month or $59.99/year. It covers Course 4 through Course 21, every lesson quiz and Course Challenge in those courses, extra vocabulary practice across the whole library, available Student Study Guides and resources, and progress sync across devices. See Pricing for the full comparison.
Try signing out and back in first — access sometimes needs a fresh sign-in to reflect a just-completed payment. If the course is still locked after that, contact us below with your account email and, if you have it, the checkout confirmation. Please don't pay a second time to try to fix it.
Cancel from Profile → Subscription → Manage Subscription, which opens the Customer Portal. Canceling stops future renewal; you keep paid access through the end of the period you already paid for, and free courses and your account are unaffected.
Full Access continues for three days from the failed renewal while the payment is retried. Update your payment details from Profile → Subscription → Manage Subscription before then. After the grace period, paid courses are restricted until payment succeeds; your account, free courses, and learning history are never affected.
Refunds are handled as exceptions rather than a general satisfaction guarantee — for example duplicate or incorrect charges, confirmed billing errors, access we couldn't deliver, unauthorized transactions, and cases required by law. Email us with the charge you mean and we'll review it. See Terms for the full policy.
A completed full refund ends the paid access it covered and stops that subscription from renewing; a partial refund does not change your access. In every case, your account and learning history are kept. See Terms for details.
While a formal dispute (chargeback) is open with your bank, we restrict the paid access that payment covered and stop that subscription from renewing — your account and history are kept either way. Contacting us directly first is usually faster than a dispute if something looks wrong with a charge.
Contact us below with your account email and the charge you mean (amount and approximate date are enough — never send full card numbers). We'll look into it directly, which is usually faster than opening a dispute with your bank.
LingoLink works in your phone's web browser — no install needed, and your account works the same way as on desktop. A dedicated app for iOS/Android isn't publicly available yet.
Lessons, audio, and quizzes need an internet connection. Where a course provides a PDF study resource on its Resources page, that specific document may be viewable/downloadable on its own — but there is no general offline mode for lessons.
A feedback report — including any screenshots and optional diagnostic details you choose to include — goes only to the LingoLink support team. It is never shown publicly, never shared with other learners, and never used to change your account or access on its own.
After sending, you'll see a confirmation with a short reference. We reply by email to the reply address you provided, normally within 1–2 business days. If sending fails, the form tells you plainly and offers you a direct email fallback instead of a false success message.
Tell us what happened, and what you were expecting — include the course and lesson if it's about content, and a screenshot if it helps. We normally aim to respond within 1–2 business days. Prefer email? Email support.
Never send us your password, full credit card number, CVC, authentication codes, government ID, or other sensitive information you don't need to share. Payments are handled securely by third-party payment providers — we never ask for or receive your card details.
